Elevating the heels during a squat is the optimal way to reduce the effects of limited flexibility and mobility at the ankle, knee and/or hip – enter PRIME Squat Wedges.

For many people, optimizing squat mechanics also requires a slight opening of the hips and widening of the feet, allowing for a full range of motion (calf to knee connection). On a traditional wedge, where the path of the incline is perpendicular to the hips and feet creates an inward rotation that makes it difficult to stabilize the knee during the squat. With the NEW PRIME SW | SOLOS, a user can externally rotate the wedge set-up position to match their body’s ideal angle of the feet. This alignment allows the hips to open and drives the knees right in line with the feet position – creating an extraordinarily natural and smooth squat like you’ve never felt before!

Very solid product, zero regrets with this purchase of 20 deg squat wedges

After literal MONTHS of pouring over squat wedge options, I ultimately ordered the Prime wedges and have been thrilled with the product. I initially hesitated to buy because I was specifically looking for 25 degrees (which seems to be the average angle promoted by most trainers promoting inclined heel squats) and the wedges from Prime do not have that option (they also decline to make me a 25 degree wedge on a custom basis), however I sprung for the Prime wedge anyway, because I had doubts that non-steel options would hold up over a lifetime of abuse, and the steel option from the other made in USA outfit has a glue-on gritty anti slip surface that is subject to replacement needs, whereas these from Prime have the tread forged right into the steel, as well as a gritty powder coat finish that I imagine will leave these grippy for maybe their entire life. In the end, 20 degrees of heel elevation has so far been adequate for our range of clients so far, so I haven't missed out on having an extra 5 degrees of elevation that I originally was looking for. Bottom line: The wedge gives me some adjustability of stance without having so much weight as would be found in the wider squat boards, I have NO qualms in the stability of these steel wedges as I might have of ones made of different material, and I absolutely think these are an excellent value for the price. Of course these came standard with precise welds and impeccable finish, along with Prime's usual incredible communication and customer service

SQUAT WEDGE | SOLOS (Pair)

We purchased all three angles, 10, 20, and 30 Degrees but we mostly use the 10 Degree Angle pair. They are expensive but so is back surgery, We highly recommend the Prime Fitness SQUAT WEDGE | SOLOS.

Really Good

Strong and sturdy as can be. I have a pair of 30-degree solos and a pair of 10-degree solos. I wear size Mens US 13 shoes and the 30-degree solos are just long enough to fit my entire foot on the wedge. That said, you really should keep your toes and the balls of your feet on the floor when using these - otherwise your feet could slip, which could cause catastrophic injury. With that in mind, these should be long enough to accommodate all but the most humongous of feet.

Solid Support for Squats

My husband and I need to have our heels slightly raised when squatting with our trainer and these work very well. They are solid and don't slip which make a big difference in our training routine.
